I am in week 4 of a 5 week cake decorating class. I have always had interest in decorating cakes.Until recently I basically decorated cakes in the pan for family birthdays. My passion for it seems to have come out more since having my kids. It’s important to me to make their cakes…I don’t know why, maybe it’s the guilt of working…I suppose it’s my way of doing something really special for their birthday.
Up until this class everything I have done is self-taught.
Here’s a history of the cakes I’ve done – starting with the most recent class ones.

Sure. I took it through community education. In my case it was the Anoka Hennepin School District community ed. I think she’s taking the winter off, but may be offering class again in the spring.
