Today we had my son, Vincent’s, 4th birthday.  He was very particular this year about what type of cake he wanted. It was so cute!  Mommy got design rights, but Mr. Vincent directed me as to what he wanted.
His request was- A chocolate rectangle cake, strawberries in the filling, red frosting, strawberries on top and M&M’s on top too.  He also wanted me to use a box car cookie cutter I had for the decoration on the cake.  Below is what I came up with.  He really loved it.  It’s so nice to see how much someone likes the cakes you make.

Here’s what I came up with.  I tried to make the boxcar look like the engine of a train.   I didn’t finish the cake until 2:00am, I wasn’t able to start it until 9:00 and I should ave been done by 10:00, but Ian decided to keep waking up and he would only go back to sleep if I would lay down with him.  And each time took at least 15 minutes.   I was so tired when I finished the cake that even though I used a template, I couldn’t keep my hand still while writing….lol.  But he loved it anyway.

It was a very fun day.  Both sets of grandparents came and great-grandpa.  Along with my sister her husband and their two kids.  My siser-in-law, her husband and their two kids.  I asked Vincent if he had a good time and liked his presents and his reply was, “Yes, I got everything I ever wanted!”.
