3/4 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp salad oil
4 c (2-1 lb cans) diced tomatoes or crushed tomatoes depending on your texture preference
2- 6oz cans tomato past
2 c water
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1-1/2 tsp dried crushed oregano
1 bay leaf
Italian meatballs recipe
Cook onion & garlic in oil till tender, but not brown. Stir in next 8 ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes; remove bay leaf, add meatballs. Loosely cover & cook 30 minutes.
Serve over hot spaghetti
